Have fun, get fit and make new friends learning the easiest dance style around. Classes held every Thursday night 6.30pm Intermediate, 7.30pm Beginners, and 8.30pm Freestyle. No partner required.

Outdoor Bowls

As a member of a Bowling Club you may play for the New Plymouth Club in any Charted Clubs Tournament. One or two social events are also held for mixed bowlers and non-bowlers, men and women.

Rock n Roll

Come and enjoy great music and social dancing on a Wednesday night from 7.00pm – 9.00pm. Learn or re-learn your dance moves with lessons from 7.00pm.

Join members and guests who meet on Friday for 500 at 10.00am until noon. Tournaments are organised.

Over 60’s

Fun and friendship is the theme for this section of our Club. Enjoy life to the dull with similar members to yourself. Meet every 2nd Tuesday from 1.00pm at the Club for organised games of cards, Euchre and 500, Indoor Bowls, 8-ball or just socializing. Afternoon tea is a highlight with each member bringing a plate or eats. Reciprocal visits from other Clubs are organised on regular basis, plus bus tours or 4-5 days. Don’t stay at home and be alone.

Men trail over three courses to select a three man team for the North Island Championships. The trail cumulates in the Dutton Cup. Representatives are also selected for the Penn Hawkins tournament.

Women trail to represent New Plymouth Club at the North Island Championships and a New Zealand wide tournament every second year. The team also play several pairs events.

New Plymouth Rodders

Hot Rods, Street Rods, Classics and Muscle cars are all welcome. Club meetings held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 7.30pm in the Blue room. Club runs every month. New members most welcome.

The Snooker adjunct offers you one of the best cue sports facilities of any Club. Eight tables are available for many organized tournaments and social play. Club night is Tuesday, register by 6.50pm.

Indoor Bowls

Held on Monday nights, register by 7.00pm. There is no shortage of space to play on, up to 20 mats to run a competition on these nights. Some interclub events are programmed for home and away games from March to October. Join the 30 plus members who will show you how to have some competitive fun.

Line dancing

Line dancing at New Plymouth Club offers an activity which is great exercise, very social and friendly. Dancing is held on Tuesdays starting at 5pm for learners and then advanced. New members are most welcome.
