  • - To provide support to the Bar Manager in ensuring the efficient running of bar operations and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation at all times.

    - Lead the bar team in providing excellent customer service to members, guests and visitors. - Assist with stock control and staff rostering as required by the Bar Manager.

    - To be member focused at all times

  • - Current Managers Certificate in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.

    - Level 3 National Certificate in Hospitality (Food and Beverage Service).

  • - Comply with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and amendments, Smoke Free Environments Amendment Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2003 and Gambling Harm Prevention and Minimisation Amendment Regulations 2023

    - Comply with the terms and conditions of the club’s liquor and gaming licences.

    - Ensure all staff are aware of their obligations pursuant to the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and the clubs liquor licence is not jeopardised – this includes authorised customers and visitors, customer conduct and intoxication.

    - Assume responsibility for ensuring the bar is continually stocked and report low stock levels or variances to the Bar Manager.

    - Ensure all relevant reports are completed daily.

    -Ensure that the bar is kept tidy and hygienic at all times.

    - Report any breakages, repairs or maintenance required to the relevant person.

    - Ensure all staff wear their uniforms correctly whilst on duty.

    - Ensure that someone is behind the bar to serve at all times.

    - Ensure that all staff have their regular meal and tea breaks and that excellent service standards are maintained.

    - Cashing up and analysis of till reports as required – adhering to the club’s cash handling procedures.

    - Ensure that all cash is placed within the safe and the premises is properly secured on those occasions when you are responsible for locking up.

    - Managing customer complaints appropriately and reporting to the Bar Manager the issue and outcome.

    - To report to the Bar Manager any disciplinary action taken with staff, members or visitors and consult on any serious matters.

    - Enforce and adhere to the club’s policies and procedure at all times.

    - Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by the Bar Manager or other members of the management team.

    - Report any irregularities in operation immediately to Bar Manager.

    -Attend any meetings when directed by the Bar Manager or other management.

  • - A high standard of dress shall be maintained all times.

    - Ensure members and visitors are treated in a polite and welcoming manner.

    - Any person whose conduct, dress or language is objectionable to any other member or staff member be requested to leave the premises and formally report the matter to the Bar Manager

  • - Please ensure that you observe all Health and Safety Practices as set out by the law and the club always.

    - Be familiar with the Club’s fire evacuation policies and procedures, accident and hazard identification and recording, with emphasis on the kitchen and food outlets.

    - Comply with the Club’s policies and procedures.

    - Be alert to both Club member and staff security in all areas.

    - Monitor security in and around the Club always.

  • - Honest and reliable.

    - Excellent communication skills.

    - A strong attention to detail.

    - Positive and professional manner.

    - Excellent personal hygiene.

    - Ability to work alone or as part of a team.

    - Good time management skills
